Parsoid perhaps should treat this an an extension?

Otherwise OCG has to parse the output of the syntax highlight extension and do something intelligent with it (which means that OCG needs an extension mechanism as well, I guess).

This might just "go away" when the HTML-based OCG renderer comes on line, since it will render the existing HTML correctly. We still won't have any semantic information about the output of the extension, though.

Please do not change priority without at least explaining your rationale. We have to balance several competing priorities and this doesn't change what we are doing right now and what we focus on.

It does.

As already announced in Tech News, OfflineContentGenerator (OCG) will not be used anymore after October 1st, 2017 on Wikimedia sites. OCG will be replaced by Electron. You can read more on mediawiki.org.

This task has been assigned to the same task owner for more than two years. Resetting task assignee due to inactivity, to decrease task cookie-licking and to get a slightly more realistic overview of plans. Please feel free to assign this task to yourself again if you still realistically work or plan to work on this task - it would be welcome!

Declining this task as OCG has been dead for years and superseded by Proton and Electron-PDFs on Wikimedia servers.

Cannot reproduce a problem anymore with current Proton and Electron-PDFs:
