When filtering Special:Contributions to the User or User talk namespaces, allow the selective display of either edits to the pages of registered accounts or the pages of anonymous (IP address) editors.

This can be done with a userscript @Scott Martin, and merging of any resulting patch of bug 43179 will make it so much easier.
You can do a lot of things with user scripts. That is not germane to this feature request.
To be completely honest, I don't fully recall the circumstances that led to my filing this. I believe that I may have been trying to find a comment that I left on the talk page of an anonymous user around a certain date, which was proving hard to spot among many other edits to named users' talk pages.
I have an idea of how this might work, and started to work on it yesterday, but I'm not sure it's really useful. Can you clarify the use case please?
The use case would be the same as it is for filtering anon (only|out) from Special:Watchlist or Special:RecentChanges, would it not?
FYI: Here is an example of how a script such as [[commons:MediaWiki:Gadget-rightsfilter.js]] could be used to filter edits to IP pages:

Still don't see the use case. We're looking at page titles, not edits of an IP or user. Anyway, I have a patch that fixes this but I'd rather wait for bug 42026 to be fixed first.
